Wine Glass Painting with local artist Nancie Chopp Join local artist Nancie Chopp for a relaxed afternoon of wine and wildflowers! In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn to paint a variety of bright, beautiful wildflowers on two stemless wine glasses. Choose your favorite colors and blooms to make each piece uniquely your own. Join us for Candlelight Conversations: Amador County History & Wine, featuring Marcie Canale—Deputy Clerk for the Amador County Recorder/Clerk’s Office, history enthusiast, artist, photographer, and seasoned paranormal investigator. Marcie is a longtime paranormal docent at Preston Castle and the Kennedy Gold Mine, where her work centers on historical research, preservation, and the thoughtful exploration of reported paranormal activity. With a background in art and years of experience leading public investigations, Marcie weaves together history, creativity, and grounded storytelling—always with deep respect for the sites and their pasts. Her approach is firmly history-first, allowing research to guide every conversation. Marcie has spoken at Sutter Creek Grammar School and volunteers with the Sutter Creek Community Benefit Foundation, helping protect and share Amador County’s rich heritage. She has also been featured on podcasts including What In The… and The Intriguing and the Unknown. By candlelight, and with a glass of La Mesa Vineyards wine in hand, guests will explore lesser-known stories and reported encounters tied to some of Amador County’s most historic locations.
