Face Off Wine Blending Class at La Mesa Vineyards, Plymouth
La Mesa Vineyards 13200 Shenandoah Road, Plymouth, CA, United StatesJoin owner-winemaker Côme and longtime La Mesa club member Chris Cornish for a fun wine blending class. Participants are organized into two teams that will "compete" to make a winning recipe for our upcoming flagship red wine blend, Charactère. We will compare and contrast the ingredient wines made from a selection of our estate Barbera, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Petite Sirah, Primitivo, Syrah and Zinfandel wines. Then, roll up your sleeves with your teammates and formulate a mix for your own perfect bottle! Take your hand-crafted bottle home to enjoy with family and friends.

Marcie is a longtime paranormal docent at Preston Castle and the Kennedy Gold Mine, where her work centers on historical research, preservation, and the thoughtful exploration of reported paranormal activity. With a background in art and years of experience leading public investigations, Marcie weaves together history, creativity, and grounded storytelling—always with deep respect for the sites and their pasts. Her approach is firmly history-first, allowing research to guide every conversation. Marcie has spoken at Sutter Creek Grammar School and volunteers with the Sutter Creek Community Benefit Foundation, helping protect and share Amador County’s rich heritage. She has also been featured on podcasts including What In The… and The Intriguing and the Unknown. By candlelight, and with a glass of La Mesa Vineyards wine in hand, guests will explore lesser-known stories and reported encounters tied to some of Amador County’s most historic locations.
