Established in 1970 – and known until recently as Montevina Winery – Terra d’Oro (Land of Gold) was Amador County's first post-prohibition winery, and today it is the county’s largest and most modern. The state-of-the-art production facility is complemented by a beautiful, vineyard-ringed, covered patio that can accommodate up to 300 people for special events. Wines available in the spacious tasting room include intense single-vineyard zinfandels, stylish syrahs and a large selection of classic and lesser-known Italian varieties.
