Now in its third decade, Amador Foothill Winery produces handcrafted wines for the table. Winemaker Katie Quinn's focus is on wines that are skillfully balanced, food-friendly and varietally correct. Producing only 4,000 cases annually ensures that each wine receives the winemaker’s full attention. A pioneer of single-vineyard zinfandel and Tuscan-style sangiovese, Amador Foothill also produce a popular sauvignon blanc, a rare Italian red varietal called aglianico and a grenache/syrah blend called Katie’s Cote. Visitors to the winery’s hilltop tasting room enjoy spectacular views of vineyards and the Sierras. Picnickers are welcome.
